Qlikview Consultant (SQL, VBA, Energy Trading) is required to join a London based Energy/ Commodity Trading firm (oil, gas, Power)who has a global presence owning refineries and smelters. They trade many different physical energy products such as oil, gas, power and coal; they are looking for the right Qlikview Technical Consultant (SQL, VBA, Energy Trading) to join immediately.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right Qlikview Technical Consultant (SQL, VBA, Energy Trading) to play a pivotal role in building the Qlikview environment for my clients risk and energy trading business. This project has major visibility right through to the owner of the company as they see it as a major tool for the business. Your first job will be to build out the Qlikview environment to ensure the necessary reports can be pulled from the software and database. You will then spend time with the business capturing their requirements from the market risk and credit exposure stand point. The successful Qlikview Technical Consultant (SQL, VBA, Energy Trading) must have experience working for an energy trading firm (oil, gas, power). You will need to be able to hit the ground running in this role and be able to think on your feet as the rest of the IT team will be based in Switzerland and you will be in London.
This is a great opportunity to take control of your own project in a busy hedge fund type environment. You will gain valuable insight in to the operations of an energy trading house. This is a six month contract that could be extended due to the back log of work.
