Qualified Accountants
There are currently a number of new opportunities for recently qualified accountants to join a strategic asset of the Ford Motor Company based in Brentwood. Your role will be to support Ford’s vehicle sales through the automotive financial products and services that they provide to Ford’s dealers and customers.

FCE is looking to recruit a number of Finance professionals to perform various roles within its European operations. Although initially based within the UK, the successful candidates should be geographically mobile within both the UK and Europe.
Working within dedicated teams, it is anticipated that these positions are likely to be in various departments/teams including: Treasury, European Financial Analysis, European Accounting and Regulatory Reporting.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specific roles and responsibilities of each position will vary but the following core skills and expected range of tasks will be required for all of the positions outlined above:
· Learns and applies FCE business processes and procedures
· Assists in gathering, reporting and analysing financial information in order to support various financial, regulatory and management reporting requirements
· Builds and improves harmonised and efficient finance processes to support FCE’s strategic objectives
· Applies and implements robust control processes to ensure management, regulatory and financial reporting integrity
· Uses facts and data in problem analysis and resolution
· Creates presentations and communications covering various financial matters, delivering these to appropriate audiences including both internal and/or external stakeholders
· Develops, manages and delivers project work plans, providing status updates to senior management
The roles will provide broad experience of key financial management skills and the successful candidate with have the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to operate at a more senior level in the organisation.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
Essential:
· Professional fully qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
· A self-starter
· Be able to demonstrate a strong ability to work independently, as well as in a team
· Have good interpersonal skills for extensive written and verbal communication, and be able to present clearly, concisely and candidly at all levels of the organisation to a number of different stakeholders including senior management, auditors, and internal and external customers
· Possess effective time management and prioritisation skills
· A quality conscious and improvement mind set, ensuring acute attention to detail
· Strong business acumen and analytical skills and demonstrates an ability to interpret financial and operational information and make sound data-driven recommendations and decisions accordingly
· Be highly competent in the use of MS Excel and MS Word
· The candidate should have an awareness and knowledge of effective compliance to FCA, IFRS and US GAAP requirements
· Knowledge of other European languages whilst not essential would be an advantage
· Prior experience in the Financial Services and Banking sector would also be an advantage.
