Qualified Children's Educator - Diploma in Children's Services
St. Vincent's Hospital Children's Centre is a work based centre for children 0-5 years, Monday-Friday, 6.30am-6.00pm. We are in a beautiful new 40 place purpose built centre in Surry Hills. The Centre has a high staff to child ratio, low staff turn over and offers ongoing professional development. We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional Diploma trained educator who wishes to be part of a dynamic team, which aims at providing quality care and education for children.
One full time fixed term position with an ADO a month and programming time.
Essential Criteria (must be addressed in application)
- Diploma in Children's Services
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to meet the criteria for Certified Supervisor
- Knowledge and understanding of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations 2011, National Quality Standard (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and WHS
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and maintain quality care and education programs
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and in partnership with families
- Ability to take initiative and contribute professional knowledge
- Demonstrated commitment to the importance of the Early Years
- Immunisation history complies with NSW Health Policy Directive PD2011_005.
- Adhering to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries
Desirable
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Certified Supervisor Certificate
- Previous experience working in a child care centre
