Qualified Practice Accountant, North Dorset
EXPERIENCED PRACTICE ACCOUNTANT, IDEALLY NEWLY QUALIFIED ACCA OR ACA WITH SMALL FIRM BACKGROUND, SOUGHT BY A SMALL FRIENDLY FIRM IN NORTH DORSET
Our client is a small friendly firm of accountants who are seeking an experienced small practice accountant to join their team.
They are looking for someone who could deal with more complex company accounts, doing the accounts preparation themselves, but then reviewing the smaller jobs of junior staff and finish those off. Files would need to be prepared to a standard for partner review, with corporation tax and deferred tax complete, and all queries resolved with clients so they need to be confident discussing accounts with clients. The accounts work would be very varied from sole traders, partnerships, companies, farmers, charities and trust accounts including business tax and corporation tax computations (this will be limited as the firm has a resident tax specialist).
They would like someone that is looking for more responsibility as the management team would be keen to delegate extra tasks to them if they are willing to learn. They are likely to be taking queries from clients that need research, and writing letters on behalf of the manager and partner.
In essence, the role is what they want make it and the firm is very flexible about how the role will evolve over time, so the more willing they are then the more responsibility and experience we will give them.
The job will be office based and is full time and would suit someone who lives in North Dorset, as someone who lives too far away is more likely to tire of the drive and move on, and the firm is looking for someone long-term who can grow with the practice.
