This position is taking place at a well-known health care leader in Los Angeles, CA. This is a 12 month temporary position at 40 hours per week. Quality Associate I RESPONSIBILITIES: *Review documentation for accuracy and compliance to procedures, and release or reject as appropriate. Obtain resolution on areas identified as non-conformance. Interpret and evaluate results in terms of acceptability to standards, procedures and regulatory requirements. *Assist in the investigation and closure of exception reports, corrective actions and out of limits * Assist with analysis of written procedures and submit procedural changes as needed to meet Corporate, Divisional and Regulatory Requirements *Participate in internal or external assessments, as required. Support process with timely closure of observations/audit items. *Provide training to the quality department employees as areas are identified *Assist in driving to closure quality and compliance gaps as they are identified *Must be able to lead and conduct investigations on the manufacturing floor for all types of nonconformities and report results to management *Coordinate activities with 4-5 other Quality Associates *Review of In-process batch records/manufacturing run sheets *Perform projects as assigned by management *Provide guidance to members of other departments with regards to critical steps verification. *Must be willing to work flex hours and rotations, if necessary QUALIFICATIONS: *Must be a strong team player with good problem solving and good verbal and written communication skills *Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, have computer experience and have knowledge of FDA Regulations, Application of Aseptic Processing Techniques and Application of Good Manufacturing Practices *Knowledge of the manufacturing processes and critical operations steps *Familiarity with auditing techniques, interpreting regulations and quality systems *Strong organizations skills, high attention to detail *Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills *Ability to work with minimum supervision required *Able to work independently to support departmental/plant goals EDUCATION: *Bachelor?s degree and/or 1-3 years of Experience in Quality Assurance in the pharmaceutical or medical industry *Individual must be able to demonstrate competency in his/her functional area For immediate consideration, click the "Apply Now! button, or refer a friend by clicking the "E-mail this job" link provided.
