We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer “Test Lead” to work with subject matter experts and developers as features are specified and developed, to integrate testing from start to completion of the development process for The MetaRisk Tool Suite. MetaRisk is a stochastic modeling tool used to model underwriting, reserve, catastrophe, credit, and investment risk in support of reinsurance purchase decisions and Enterprise Risk Management.
This is a permanent full-time position, located with the MetaRisk development team in Seattle.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Review, improve and document our existing system of regression tests.
- Improve existing testing tools and test automation.
- Plan and develop tests for new functionality and new releases.
- Work with users to understand, reproduce, and document product defects.
Requirements:
- A degree in a related field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, software development, in addition to at least 10 years' relevant experience.
- "Self starter".
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in a similar position. In particular the candidate will have worked to design improvements to test infrastructure, developed test strategy, test plans, and tests for a complex product.
- Experience testing mathematical software preferred.
- The candidate must be accustomed to working closely with developers and subject matter experts in an agile development environment. Role is tasked with working closely with Actuaries. Need to have the ability to work with them to gain understanding of the technical business requirements for the product.
