The candidate will be a LEADER responsible for participating in requirements analysis, test planning and testing a web application integrated with a legacy internal system for the mortage industry. Test activities include strategy, planning as well as actual testing. The position requires the individual to work under pressure, adhere to deadlines and deliver a quality product at the conclusion of the engagement. Candidate will be supporting a new as well as an existing product to plan and execute tests, develop detail test cases and test matrices to ensure quality of products delivered to our customers. Candidate will need to understand business requirements and/or product design considerations to develop test requirements, test plans and test cases. The Test Cases must validate that applications operate according to the functional and technical specifications and business rules as defined by the Users. a. Analysis: To determine a test strategy to efficiently and successfully validate business objectives. Candidate will work closely with business users and software developers to review and understand requirements. Candidate will create all data conditions required to exercise the program logic and analyze the test output. Candidate will advise in determining the test environment requirements, direct the migration of testable code from the development facilities to formal test environments, and manage the execution of the QA Process during both System and UAT testing. b. Execution Candidate will develop and execute the System test plan which includes; objectives, description, sequence(s), data, and requirements. Perform all necessary types of testing including unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, business cycle testing, etc. Create/Update/Execute both manual and possibly automated test scripts against the applications. Candidate will provide testing support during the UAT phase of the engagement including regression testing, issue resolution and Quality Assurance best practices. c. Issue Resolution Candidate must demonstrate the ability to trouble shoot incorrect testing results and recommend a feasible solution to meet the business/technical requirements. d. Reporting Candidate will be responsible to summarize test results for management, responsibilities will include tracking testing results, categorizing issues and creating/distributing trouble reports, managing the defect listings as well as analyzing data to ensure data integrity. Candidate must be able to provide written and oral status to peers and various levels of management.
