Job Description:
Daytop is looking for a full time Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for the quality assurance and regulatory support for ambulatory programs, including 822 Outpatient and Parole/Probation projects. Travel throughout the five boroughs of Manhattan is required.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Provide QA/UR support for specific non OASAS contract requirements.
· Assure the quality and operational integrity of the aforementioned programs in accordance with Daytop agency policies and federal, state and local regulations.
· Direct involvement in the development of existing and future programs and services under the direct management of the administrator, as well as divisional and global agency planning and development.
· Prepare reports, documents and concept papers for the administrator and upper management on QA/UR activities and goals.
· Liaison with OASAS and other contract agencies to insure compliance with contractual obligations.
· Ensure the quality of documentation for OASAS regulatory purposes and Medicaid reimbursement.
· Provide on-site training for facility managers, direct care staff and support staff in systems management, clinical documentation, regulatory obligations and quality management activities.
· Convene, lead and/or participate in work groups of appropriate staff with the purpose of developing and approving policies, procedures and document formats to further regulatory compliance.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by appropriate authority.
Qualifications:
· Masters Degree in a Human Services or Administrative/Managerial field or 5 years treatment experience.
· Three years supervisory experience.
· Familiarity with OASAS 800 regulations, 822 regulations, Article 28, Part 750 NYS Health codes, and Criminal Justice Contractual requirements.
· OASAS QHP status preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Relevant experience and/or experience in Substance abuse treatment are desirable.
