We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) that is enthusiastic about improving software quality, finds inspiration in cutting edge technology and enjoys working in a start up environment.
You will be responsible for performing quality assurance throughout the entire software development lifecycle, as well as for managing iterations to endure they stay on track. You will be working with a small, talented and friendly group of software developers, product managers and quality assurance engineers. The team uses Agile methodology to provide the technological innovation that enables the company to revolutionize lending to small businesses throughout the country.
The principle activities for this position will be:
- Explore software as a detective would a crime scene
- Gather evidence and use reasoning to arrive at a conclusion
- Formulate questions that need to be answered, thinking creatively about how to discover defects
- Examine data for patterns
- Exemplify thoroughness in test execution
To be successful in this position, a candidate must have:
- Previous Quality Assurance experience
- Experience with Java
- Intermediate skills in formulated SQL statements. The ability to use SQL to sift through data is essential.
- Experience with Manual and Automated Testing procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with shell scripting, PL/SQL, or automation frameworks would be a plus
- Bachelors degree
