Quality Assurance Manager
Implementation of quality engineering systems for complex mobile /rotary off-road machinery and construction equipment. Provide corrective /preventative action plans, failure reporting, analysis and corrective action and field data collection. Chair Material Review Board and ensure timely status updates and reporting. Interaction with manufacturing to ensure process and quality control. Determine and implement mandatory inspection point plans and ensure identification and traceability of parts and materials used in deliverable products. Implement and control quality data collection procedures to ensure that product, procedures and processes are in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. Identify, analyze and monitor key performance indicators and conduct process and product audits. Previous experience leading technical teams implementing quality systems and quality assurance procedures and planning for heavy mobile machinery and related mechanical and hydraulic systems. Working knowledge of quality procedures, cause and effect, SPC. lean manufacturing, six sigma, product quality planning and production part approval. Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) and non-conformance /corrective action systems. B.Sc. or M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering with related experience. Green / Black Belt training an asset.
Supplier Quality Engineer
Responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured by vendors /suppliers are in compliance with the Quality Management System. Provide technical assistance /support to vendors /suppliers as required. Ensure vendor compliance with specifications and quality program. Review and ensure accuracy of all externally generated quality related documents and records. Maintain /upkeep Supplier Quality Assurance Program and initiatives. Liaise with departments to provide necessary support to suppliers. Complete compliance audits of suppliers and manage the supplier and subcontractor qualification and evaluation programs. Develop, implement and maintain supplier performance metrics and objectives including On Time Delivery and Corrective Actions. Work with key Suppliers on Continuous Improvement and Cost reduction initiatives and programs. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and familiarity with Material Resource Planning software (Visual Manufacturing) an asset. Prior Audit experience in AS9100 or ISO9001. Degree /Diploma Engineering with related experience.
Quality Engineer
Develop detailed quality inspection plans and acceptance test procedures. Liaise between manufacturing and engineering as a member of the MRB, and provide mentorship to quality inspectors. Develop and maintains portions of the Quality Management System pertaining to quality control. Develop and maintain quality inspection test plans and standard work documents for large or complex assemblies and parts. Develop and maintain acceptance test procedures for mechanical components. Assist in the development and maintenance of final test procedures for aircraft acceptance. Develop NCR repair schemes and liaise with engineering as a quality member on the MRB. Perform and coach others in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Publish metrics for the quality control department. Provide mentorship and coaching to quality control inspectors. Member on MRB. Experience in aerospace quality control /assurance and previous MRB experience an asset. Degree /Diploma Engineering with related experience.
