Quality Control / Quality Assurance - 2nd Shift
Northern Suburbs
The Opportunity
Performs all types of inspection duties, to include but not limited to; Receiving, In-process, and Final inspection. Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with internal and external auditing. Perform gage calibration using calibration software. Run and program Zeiss
Essential Job Functions:
• Receiving inspection of finished product.
• Final inspection of completed product.
• First article
• In-process inspection to include floor inspections in the QA lab and production floor.
• Generate non-conforming documentation, both internal and supplier required documentation.
• Work in conjunction with engineering, production, and purchasing in the development and maintenance of inspection and test procedures.
• Follow all required work instruction.
• Work with other company personnel towards continual improvement of product and service.
• Perform as needed gage calibration.
• Assist with internal and external audits, including performing audits, directing small audit teams, audit training and scheduling internal and external audits.
• Work with both customers and suppliers on quality related opportunities
Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience in the area of surface plate set-ups and the use of inspection hand tools.
• Must have working knowledge of Geo-metrics and Position.
• Must have a high school diploma, 2+ years of technical training in related field and or 5 years of inspection experience.
• Must have Zeiss CMM software experience.
• Must be able to perform routine gage calibration using Gagetrac software.
• Experience in the metals industry.
