Quality Assurance Inspector Job in Coppell 75019, Texas US

Position Function: Inspect incoming parts per Company Quality Assurance Procedures to verify they are in compliance with design requirements and FAA regulations.  Document results to provide a basis for traceability.  Maintain work area and equipment.  Strive towards continuous improvement.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities: 

1.      Inspect parts for compliance with applicable blueprints, specifications and standards.

2.      Knowledge of GD T a must.

3.      Review supplier data and certification packages for conformance to applicable requirements and request corrections as needed.

4.      Ensure continual product flow through the Quality department, by priority

5.      Ensure maintenance and calibration of all measurement and test equipment.

6.      Maintain control of and ensure proper filing of all pertinent documents, data and inspection records.

7.      Keep work area neat and orderly.

8.      Because of the fluctuating demands of Company operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you.  Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.

9.      Compliance with Company policies and procedures.

1.      Reports Directly To: Quality Assurance Manager

Education Required:  High School diploma

Performance Skills/Abilities:.   Ability to use measurement and test equipment to ensure part compliance.  Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical specifications.  Basic math skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.

Equipment/Machines:    Calipers, micrometers (ID OD), height gages, bore gages, surface plates air gages, CMM, Hardness tester, optical comparator, Formscan, Q-See machine, surface indicators and various test equipment.
