Overview:

Performs inspections, checks, and tests for quality control for supplied products. Maintains the calibration of all inspection equipment. Performs inventory control functions.

1) Performs visual and measured inspection of all mechanical parts and compares against tolerances on drawings, reports errors to Engineering.

2) Maintains inspection reports and files.

3) Enters inspection results into appropriate databases and spreadsheets

4) Works closely with Quality Control and Engineering to resolve issues related to rejected parts.

5) Maintains a clean, orderly work area, ensuring that TDW safety standards are maintained.

6) Works with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

1) Proficient in understanding how to check to Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing (GDT).

2) Proficient in the use of CMM based inspection equipment; experience in reduced content CMM inspection a plus.

3) 1-3 years experience inspecting mechanical parts.

4) Technical Degree Preferred

5) Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.

6) Ability to properly use measurement tools (general metrology).

7) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

8) Proficient in the use of personal computers; Microsoft Word, and Excel software skill at the Intermediate Level.
