Quality Assurance Manager / Business Analyst, Testing/QA, Banking, English, (Long term contract, Basel) recruitment

As Senior Business Analyst, your role will include the following tasks:
- Prepares, or assists project teams in preparing, test strategies, test plans and test scripts; records software defects; coordinates with the Release Management to ensure that
- high quality and accuracy are maintained throughout software life cycles
- Promotes the use of unit tests and continuous integration testing among developers
- Executes functional testing and supports user acceptance testing to ensure high quality standards for software releases
- Contributes to the development of relevant release documentation
- Ensures the provision of quality assurance services and tools (eg administering JIRA, developing a repository of test plans, exploring options for test automation)
- Develops metrics to assess the quality of IT deliverables and acceptance criteria
- Acts as an expert adviser on planning and coordinating complex quality assurance activities in IT projects
- May be required to manage projects and their budgets, in accordance with BIS project methodology
- Defines and documents business area processes. Gathers, analyses and articulates the business requirements where IT solutions seem appropriate
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- At least five years’ work experience as a quality assurance manager, ideally complemented with previous experience as a business analyst and/or developer
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance practices and available technologies (JIRA, NUnit, test plan repositories, etc)
- Advanced knowledge of sound industry practices and tools for quality assurance of IT applications (projects and product maintenance), with a professional certification in quality
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills; service-oriented; able to tailor services to business units or systems
- Good knowledge of software development life cycle and project management processes (both traditional and Scrum)
- Good knowledge of tools for automated testing
- Persistent and able to promote sound practices across the organisation
- Quick learner; able to quickly acquire specific functional knowledge required to organise and contribute to quality assurance activities
- Very good communication and presentation skills; ability to establish strong working relationships with IMS and business areas
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
