Quality Assurance Supervisor/Manager

Our company has been in business since 1868 and our solid growth has given us the opportunity to open an additional manufacturing plant, our first in the Omaha area.  This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of a company with lots of upward mobility as we plan to staff the plant with up to 70 people in the next 9 months. This is a full time position.


Position Summary

The person in this position could come in as a manager or supervisor, depending on their skill set and level of experience.  They will be responsible for all quality assurance activities at the manufacturing plant.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

·         Supervision of Quality Assurance Auditors in the plant.

·         Supervision of the Laboratory Manager in the analytical lab.

·         Supervision of the shampoo blending/compounding.

·         Develop, train and follow up on all quality processes and procedures.

·         Document all processes and results as it related to quality and testing of products and equipment.

·         Review all test results to insure all products meet minimum requirements and label guarantees.

·         Manage and control all hazardous waste generation and disposal from this facility.

·         Manage all pest control processes and expenditures including product fumigation.

·         Develop and manage the Quality Assurance auditors

·         Provide Quality training to the Operations department

·         Prepares monthly reports to communicate quality assurance activities.

·         Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.

·         Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.

·         Manage product specifications and quality assurance policies

·         Assure ongoing achievement of product specifications

·         Maintain regulatory compliance and certifications (EPA, FDA, etc.)

 

Qualifications

·         Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or Chemistry

·         At least five years experience Managing a Quality Assurance department in a food, pharmaceutical, or other GMP manufacturing environment

·         Demonstrated history of effective leadership working closely with FDA, preferred.

·         Creative/analytical problem solving skills.

·         Hands on leadership style.

·         Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.

·         Dedication to achievement of results.

·         Strong computer skills, including a proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project Manager, Excel and Word.

·         Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
