Quality Assurance Specialist Mobile Technologies-6mnth contract recruitment
The Role
Bloomberg is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for a 6 month contract to support the mobile development team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about mobile device software and financial solutions. The role will cover all aspects of Bloomberg's mobile business, ranging from messaging to market data.
Responsibilities include, but not are limited to the following:
- Work closely as an integrated part of the mobile development team
- Carry out regular tests on device software
- Develop and apply software test suites using automation testing tools
- Drive the development and maintenance of test plans
- Interface with internal QA department
Qualifications
- Proven basic programming experience e.g. Java, Javascript, Objective-C
- Excellent understanding of QA methodology
- Strong experience applying automated software test techniques
- Test engineering experience
- Energetic, creative, and flexible with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently yet collaborate with the various teams
- An understanding of Financial markets
Optionally
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Bloomberg
- Experience in scaling up testing
- Release management
- Working with external QA providers
