Quality Assurance Technician / Technologist Job in Edmonton, Alberta Canada
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician / Technologist to join our client as a Fulltime/Permanent direct hire in Edmonton area
The successful candidate will have certification in Quality Assurance or Quality Control with 2-3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment. Must computer skills and a good working knowledge of blue print reading and geometric dimensioning tolerancing and skilled in operation of inspection equipment. A background in welding fundamentals is a definite asset. Duties would include daily quality inspections and audits. Documentation of non-conformances, investigating root causes and follow up of corrective actions. Ensure all production related documents are current
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Product audits, including preparation and presentation of audit reports results
- Conduct station / process audits in assembly, welding and paint
- Provide process/product improvement initiatives to improve overall product quality
- Conduct inspections using inspection instrumentation including programming and operation of equipment
- Calibrate inspection instrumentation
- Liaise with suppliers, engineering, service, purchasing and shop floor staff t develop corrective action plans for non-conforming parts/processes
- Manage quarantine inventory
- Ensure work instructions and production related documents are updated on the shop floor
- Maintain QA equipment
- Assist tooling and fixture development as required
