Quality Assurance & Test Architect (WSS Technology) – ED – Based in Bournemouth recruitment
We require a dedicated Technology Quality Assurance and Testing Director for the Custody and Clearance function to develop and institutionalise excellence in quality assurance disciplines throughout the development framework.
The WSS Technology teams supporting the Custody Clearance business function have embarked on a major transformation program to create a single clearance, settlement and asset servicing utility that will enhance the client's experience, create efficiencies by increased automation in the operating environment and be available for use by businesses across the bank. This program is a significant fundamental building block in the creation of a componentised system infrastructure, integrating with other major transformation investment programs currently in progress.
This a 4 - 5 year transformation program with a budget in excess of $100mm.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership of the WSS Custody Clearance Technology Quality Assurance Testing function.Create clear definitions of testing strategies conforming to agreed policies and industry best practice standards.Inculcate the Testing Strategy and methods in the development lifecycleImplement a framework for full test automationAdopt methods to ensure compliance with the testing strategy across internal project teams and third party vendors.Operate as specialist and consultant on all aspects of software testing coaching and advising IT Managers on the most appropriate and effective techniques for projects.Lead the definition and implementation of detailed test processes including Test Automation, Testing Tools and Techniques.Own and conduct the Quality Assurance reviews at the various tollgate stages throughout the project life-cycle, including formal approval of Test Approach and Test completion documentation for all projects.Review and determine improvements in the Testing process across the broader WSS organisation.Develop education and training programmes for Application Development and Testing staffBusiness Overview:WSS Technology provides applications systems development, maintenance and production support services to the WSS Product, Operations and Client base. It is comprised of around 3500 technology professionals in multiple global locations. In addition to teams dedicated to supporting specific business functions (Custody, Clearance, Fund Servicing, Financial products), there are dedicated functions focused on architecture, utility functions and Quality Assurance.
