The Quality Assurance Testing Manager is responsible for the release of error-free software by applying specific testing techniques and methodologies.
Job Responsibilities:
This role will provide early detection of defects resulting in reduced re-work costs relating to Williams Lea hosted solutions both internal and external
The QA lead will assist with smooth transitions to new technologies, testing activities, risk mitigation, and consistently predictable quality of applications resulting in customer satisfaction
A qualified individual will provide a process-driven approach with specific steps to help define and attain goals
Responsible for releasing error-free software by applying specific testing techniques and methodologies
Provide early detection of product or application defects during testing efforts
Manage testing activities and risk mitigation for new technologies
Provide hands-on oversight on the implementation and integration of automated testing tools and methodologies
Evaluate products and disadvantages of the current process and therefore suggest solutions including but not limited to making any changes of processes, products or standards of QA where warranted
Provide regular and consistent status on work progress / activities
Provide supervisory oversight on QA testing resource(s) on related projects and activities
Provide project planning, task planning, test plan generation and execution in a timely manor
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent qualified work experience
4 to 6 years of hands-on Quality Assurance testing, planning and test scenario generation in IT end-user support
Minimum 2-3 years supervisory experience is required with emphasis on remote / offshore management
Familiarity working in a .NET environment
Strong understanding of SDLC principles within an Agile methodology
Ability to think “outside the box”, identify opportunities for process improvement/consolidation as well as the ability to effectively educate co-workers
3-5 years interaction with QA testing tools and methodologies
2-3 years SQL experience MSSQL, Oracle
Experience with MS Project to create and maintain detailed project plans
Understanding of large ERP systems, specifically PeopleSoft and Oracle EBS is desirable.
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects/people in a matrix environment
Ability to engage effectively in written and spoken communications with clients (primarily internal) and vendors.
Ability to respond diplomatically in challenging interpersonal situations regarding support issues
Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience as well as to be able to gather enough technical detail (and train staff to gather enough technical detail) to ensure that senior technicians have appropriate data to diagnose and resolve issues escalated to them
