Position Description:

Specfic Job Responsibilities:  Acts as the Quality Assurance lead for the engineering organization.  Develops Quality plans, executes quality assessment visits in accordance with approved plans, assists workcenters with self inspection and correction of product and process quality issues, and provides management with feedback on quality improvement initiatives.  Works with workcenter level quality personnel across the organization to meet management objectives.

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Executes, measures, and recommends improvements for Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, and Performance Measurement processes.

1. Assists in the development and release of processes and product documentation.

2. Assesses improvements for business and technical processes.

3. Assists others in analyzing corrective and preventive actions.

4. Assists in planning and execution of work location audit/assessment programs.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Usually in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting (up to 30 pounds), constant sitting, significant use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning and organizing skills, and be able to work under deadlines. Occasional work performance in a field environment involving remote locations, warehouse environments, flight line environments, machining and manufacturing environments, and outdoor assignments. Ability to travel using various means of government or contractor transportation.

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Associates degree, or equivalent techncial education and a minimum of four years related technical or business experience.  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications required (specifically MS Word and MS Excel). Ability to learn and use other software applications is required. Preferred certification by the American Society for Quality in at least one of the following: Certified Quality Improvement Associate, Certified Calibration Technician, Certified Mechanical Inspector, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Technician.  Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance and possess a current state issued driver's license.
