QUALITY CONTROL ADMINISTRATOR

Key Responsibilities for the position include:
- Keeping all inventory specifications up to date
- Handling all quality related issues and assisting the Inventory Manager in disposal of non-conforming materials as required
- Assisting the Receiving clerk and acting as backup to carry out shipping/receiving duties in his/her absence.
- Inspecting materials received from vendor and/or customers, determine appropriate actions and processing customer returns as necessary
- Processing all vendor/claims in a timely manner to minimize cost to company, as well as maintaining/tracking claim status
- Reviewing data base information to ensure all pertinent information is on file and complete
- Managing/maintaining branch quality program, including doing updates when required
- Coordinating internal audits and other duties as assigned by management
- Perform all work with adherence to appropriate health, safety, and environmental practices and maintains good housekeeping standards in the work area.
Qualifications for the position:
- Must have a minimum of college diploma or equivalent.
- Very good interpersonal skills.
- Will be trained in ISO policies, procedures and work instructions as outlined in the ISO training matrix
- Previous experience in a quality control position and exposure to a metal warehouse distribution environment would be an asset.
Salary range for this position is $45,000-$50,000 per year; based on level of skills and experience. Offering a great benefit plan as well!
