Quality Control Inspector(Nisku)
While adhering to standard safety and quality operational policies and procedures, the primary functions of the Quality Control inspector are:
- Perform inspection duties of the final product loaded for shipment to ensure safe transport of goods.
- Perform inspection of machine and fabricated parts to uphold the quality of standards of the product.
- Make decisions on the results of the inspections conducted.
- 100% participation in identified workplace Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
- Actively participates in company safety procedures and programs: corrects unsafe work practices or situations; follows reporting protocols for violations; participates in the Hazard Identification process
- Fully participates in continuous process improvement and cost control, following quality policies and procedures and standards to maintain within company guidelines
- Perform other duties as required, including clean-up duties and the accurate and timely completion of paperwork
Education
- Minimum grade XII education; equivalency considered
- CWB level 1 certificate is an asset
Knowledge/Experience:
- Knowledge of standard inspection techniques and practices and/or the willingness to learn
- Knowledge and skill in reading measuring devices
- Knowledge of the product line from fabrication and machining processes to the assembly of the final product
- Previous experience in a production/manufacturing and machining/fabrication environment
- Manual labour work experience is required
- The oil and gas industry experience is an asset
Skills
- Intermediate math skills
- Proficient at reading measuring devices
- Mechanically inclined
- Physically fit
- Computer literate
