Quality Control Inspector:

Provide quality control support to all of facility maintenance operations. Constantly strive to improve customer relations and satisfaction.  Must have excellent communications interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. 

 

2 years experience in the area of quality control inspection and reporting.

 

Experience with writing operational procedures preferred.

 

Familiarity with maintenance operations.

 

Customer service background a preferred.

 

PC skills with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets required.

 

Knowledge in CMMS systems a plus.

 

Valid Driver’s License and position requires a full TSA Background Check.

 

Requirements:

Inspect all operations for quality workmanship on passenger boarding bridges, conveyor systems incl. overhead conveyor systems, PC Air units, 400 Hz inverters, HVAC systems, Restrooms, Facilities.

 

Perform all work in a safe manner.

 

Meet with the various customers to improve customer satisfaction.

 

Input of required information into the computerized maintenance management system.

 

Assist with the development of reports and operating procedures.

 

Track quality and develop programs to increase quality and customer satisfaction.

 

Assist with safety training and safety audits as required.

 

Check sub contractor work to ensure it meets the requirements of the job.

 

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of a QC Inspector the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and work in small spaces.  Ladder work required.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions located on airport property, around aircraft and most specifically the confined spaces of a package conveyor system. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Good hand / eye coordination is required.

Work Environment:

The work environment is similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic.  The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.  Employees will work around an airport ramp and will be within close proximity to large aircraft and heavy equipment.
