Quality Control Job in Gurnee, Illinois US

Position: Quality Control

 

Wage: $15
 
Shift: 1st; 8am-5pm

QPS Employment Group has an immediate temp-to-hire opening for a Quality Control position in the Medical Equipment Industry in Gurnee, IL.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Coordinate timely calibration and status identification of all required test equipment through the proper use of GageTrak System

·         Use inspection equipment such as MicroVu, calipers, thread and pin gages, optical comparator, and micrometers

·         Conduct thorough investigations of any instance of equipment being out of calibration, including proper disposition of all product using applicable device

·         Follow departmental SOPs and WIs

·         Proper inspection using established guidelines

·         Ensure proper documentation of all required inspection results

·         May assist in internal or external audits

·         Perform Final Inspection on all systems products ready for shipping

·         Follow company attendance requirements; May require overtime and weekends

·         Any additional duties the Supervisor requests

·         Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirement:

 

·         2 or 4 year college degree in a technical field, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

·         3-5 years of experience in a Quality Department of a manufacturing company, preferably in the field of air and vacuum systems

·         ASQC Certified Quality Technician is preferred

·         Must have knowledge of inspection, measuring, and test equipment both calibration and usage

·         Must be able to read blueprint drawings

·         Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs
