Applications are now sought from experienced professionals for a key role in our Maritime business located in Williamstown, Victoria.   As the Quality Control Officer – Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for the structural installation on new build and repair projects to the relevant codes, drawings and specifications.

Key duties will include but are not limited to:
• Undertake routine inspection tasks, including: equipment and cable installation, inspection and test plans, work packs, inspection instructions and test documentation
• Undertake inspection planning and surveillance inspections
• Support supply chain, including carrying out receipt inspection and undertaking off site supplier assessments
• Foster a culture of “Right first time”
• Lead client and classification issues regarding quality control inspection
• Ensure non-conformances found are accurately reported
• Assist in the conduct of internal audits

As the ideal applicant, you will have:
• Demonstrated electrical inspection experience and an A Grade Electrical licence, are essential
• Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work under own initiative to deliver outputs to time, quality and cost
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with all members of the project team, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
• Experience in high density connectors and fibre optics would be an advantage.
