Quality Control Technician
Kelly Services is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a QC Technician position in the Lake Charles, LA area. The main job duties associated with this position include: Perform culture setups for biochemical testing, identification ssytems, and Gram Stains for production lots Perform purity checks, vacuum checks, pH testing, and growth checks Assist with processing incoming media and inventory rotation Monitor and document daily temperature recordings for incubators and environmental controls The qualifications candidates should have include: A background in clinical microbiology is required Working knowledge of bacterial and fungal cultures is preferred Candidates should also have working knowledge of staining microscopic slides and microorganisms Applicants must also have working knowledge and prior experience operating a microscope A high school diploma or equivalent is required This is an exciting opportunity to get exposure to a leading client in the area. This is a temporary assignment expected to last 4-6 weeks.
