Quality Control Technician Job in Oak Brook 60523, Illinois US
Primary Responsibility:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for performing daily testing procedures during the manufacturing process. Ensure that products comply with quality standards and specifications. Monitor and verify CCPs, GMPs, and SSOP process. Inspect incoming and finished goods, collect data and analyze it in order to certify or reject specific products. The Quality Technician will also be responsible for calibrating and monitoring equipment.
Additional Duties
• Perform incoming inspections of carriers, ingredients and packaging materials.
• Analyze and document analysis of materials used in manufacturing.
• Monitor, analyze and document in-process conditions, materials and products.
• Collect samples for microbiology testing of ingredients, products and packaging materials.
• Audit and check production, processing and paperwork items utilizing a QC checklist.
• Collect, store, analyze, track, retain samples.
• Collect samples for environmental microbiology monitoring of manufacturing areas.
• Perform GMP audits and monitor GMP conditions.
• Assist in complaint investigations if necessary.
• Monitor and perform lab equipment calibrations.
• Perform temperature measurement and monitoring in manufacturing and transportation.
• Perform analytical testing of ingredients and products.
• Process and analyze paperwork for QC functions.
• Performs or assists with additional assignments as directed by QC Management.
Requirements
• BS Degree (or equivalent experience) in biology, microbiology, food science, food technology or related scientific field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
• must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred
