Quality & Controls Operations Analyst (6-9m Fixed Term Contract) recruitment
The team as a whole is responsible for:
- Operations Accounting including balance sheet substantiation.
- Network Management Fees and Charges Administration
- Reconcilitations covering Nosto/Depot and Control Accounts
- MIS and KPI production
- Systems Access control and review
- Static Data (Instrument and Firm SSI’s for some correspondents)
- Daily Front Office control reporting
- Trade Support daily Controls concerning, late trades, cancellations
- Transaction Reporting exception management
- Capturing the complete set of Incidents and Claims affecting both the Back and Middle Office processes and ultimately PL.
- The identification of non automated controls and practices as targets for increased automation and efficiency improvements.
- Implementation and responsibility for Permanent Supervision.
- Various Control Reviews e.g RCSA and SAS70.
- Identification of Control weaknesses and breaches of key controls.
The team is split between London and Bangalore with London providing control and oversight over the end to end process.
Main responsibilities
Responsibility for business as usual tasks performed in London and providing support for the Quality and Control team in Bangalore. The processes that will take the majority of the time are as follows:
- Operational Accounting:
- Follow up of integrity and control account breaks to ensure that appropriate actions are being taken to resolve/clear the breaks.
- Preparation of the month end Balance Sheet sign off packs
- NWM Adminsitration
- Review of invoices, journals and payments
- Break Management
- Weekly meetings with other GCE teams in London, Bangalore, Paris and New York
- Monthly KRI reporting
- Systems Access control and quarterly reviews covering asset release appropriateness and segregation of duties
- Incident process, for Fines, Interest Claims Incidents and OPER originated operational breakdowns.
Assisting the other Q C team members in the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of business-as-usual processes

Level of authority
Control and Oversight of the Ops Accounts, NWM Admin and Incidents teams in Bangalore through quality and control assement of checklists and ad-hoc review of idividual issues or processes.

- The rest of the Quality and Control team including MIS/Static, Ops Accounting , Reconciliations and Trade Support Control
- The Settlements and Asset Serving Departments

Education
- Minimum A level.
Past experience
- Exposure to the Equity Settlement cycle or Operations Control.
- For the right candidate without previous experience it will provide an opportunity to develop an understanding of Operational Risk and Settlements processes.
- Experience in workings of an Investment Bank Operation is preferred.
