Quality Engineer - Automotive
Location: West Midlands
Salary: 30-33K
Our client is a 1st tier supplier of automotive door and structural components, glass systems, electric park brakes, pedal systems, and exterior trim.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the objective management of all designated quality projects ensuring quality standards are maintained and programme targets met within the overall framework of business objectives.
- Liaison with customers to ensure effective feedback and implementation of actions resulting in successful resolution of customer complaints
- Work within improvement teams, ensuring corrective actions are robust and effectively implemented
- Responsibility for making informed decisions regarding line stoppages due to quality problems
- Assist in the training of quality awareness, working with Leading Hands, Production Supervisors and Production Manager.
- Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
- To contribute to continuous improvement activity within the business.
- Prepare PPAP and submit, including production of sample parts.
- Maintain measurement equipment including RR studies
- Monitor and analyse process capability including data collection.
- Arrange all necessary activities to react to customers' complaints.

- Adherence to systems and procedures.
- CCAR's/ Global 8d activity.
- PAC Audit Programme.
- Process Capability Status.
- Quality Costs.
Objectives:
- Zero non-conformities to quality procedures.
Background:
Ideally degree-qualified but minimum HND level engineering (or equivalent), with at least 3 years experience within a quality environment, ideally an automotive manufacturing base.
