Quality Engineer
Sivyer Steel is seeking a Quality Engineer to assist the organization with development/maintenance and implementation of the quality management program. The selected individual will be responsible for day to day quality activities in a manufacturing environment along with continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality program, such as 5S, lean manufacturing, etc. This person will have supervisory responsibilities, develop and conduct quality training/coaching for the organization and conduct audits, initiate and follow up on corrective actions.
The selected individual will have complete knowledge of ISO 9000 and common quality and manufacturing techniques such as PPAPs, APQPs, FMEA, DOE, SPC, and Lean. This person will have good oral and written communication skills and must be able to work in a team environment.
A BS degree or 5+ years current experience in a manufacturing type setting is required. Experience with foundry processing and welding a plus.
Candidate must pass a pre-employment physical, substance screen and background check.
