The Quality Engineer will provide support in the following areas: (1) Avery Office Products company wide quality systems development (2) New Product Development (growth, productivity, quality improvement, run the business) support (3) Quality documentation and process development to enhance existing processes that require improvement.

Requirements:
o Provide support for the development and execution of Quality Assurance systems (Quality Policies, Processes and Strategic Planning) across all departments (design, development, supply chain, purchasing, suppliers, manufacturing and receiving).
o Provide guidance to establish and manage CTQ (Critical to Quality) metrics from early product development through validation.
o Validating and/or creating supplier control plans that align to OCP product critical spec’s.
o Establish processes(both the front end and back end) to support product manufacturing including designing quality into the manufacturing process and finished goods management upon receipt
o Monitoring reacting to both factory and supplier Key Performance Measurements.
o Initiating quality improvement projects with strategic suppliers or top offenders.
o Serve as a consult during critical specification testing development.
o Review Approve design reviews
o Obtaining leadership approval to assign resources for quality improvement projects
o Coordinating project Kickoff Project charter event.
o Provide DFMEA PFMEA data from product launch.

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Quality Management or other job-related field of study
- 8 plus years experience in a quality assurance, preferably in the Office Products or related retail centric field(s).
- Experience working with relevant quality systems specifications/standards (ISO9000 AS9100)
- Able to interpret blueprints and product/material specifications
- Have good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to travel within North America (US / Mexico)
- Ability to travel up to 15 percent
