Quality Engineer
*** 3 month contract ***

Must have:
1. Knowledge of design quality systems
2. Knowledge of EASA Part21J AS9100C
Principal Accountabilities:
- Lead the quality process within the Product Introduction project teams ensuring compliance with Customer, Product Introduction Process, quality systems (AS 9100) and regulatory requirements (EASA Part 21J).
- Ensure that the Contract Specification has been accurately interpreted by conducting formal Contract Review and liaise with customers, suppliers and colleagues to promote an understanding of contractual and quality requirements.
- Develop, write, promote and enhance a quality plan for each product or system within a project and liaise with the customer to obtain approval.
- Participate in Design Reviews during the product introduction programme and represent the Quality aims during the review.
- Compile an Audit Programme to confirm the Product Realisation Activities of the Project as well as all of the general QA Activities demanded by the Project.
- Review any products/processes or validation testing related to Qualification/proposed production standard to ensure they are fully documented to meet the Customer and/or Internal requirements
- Ensure that qualification testing for verification of the product build standard, testing is carried out in accordance with approved test plans, all test results are satisfactory, any incidents or abnormalities are recorded and resolved.
- Produce, on completion of Qualification testing a detailed report of findings (Strip examinations appended to the Engineering test plans). Review and approve, where applicable, or as otherwise agreed by customer, all Engineering Reports.
- Ensure Production Quality Test /First Article Inspection requirements have been determined and are added to the Programme, the establishment of Product Release requirements and complete any audit programmes or outstanding corrective actions
- Support the Program Sourcing Approval Process and if required participate in assessing the Quality Control capabilities of a Supplier or Sub-Contractor.
- Lead the drive for quality improvement and business excellence in all areas.
- Conduct Advanced Quality Planning activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- A formal qualification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant Quality experience gained within an Engineering or Manufacturing Environment, bias towards Electronics, and proven knowledge of Quality processes.
- Fully conversant with AS9100, ISO 9000, Airworthiness and Aerospace regulatory requirements (Preferably, to have completed an IQA recognised audit course.)
Personal Characteristics:
- Computer literate with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Good communication skills and a team player.
- Able to work under own initiative.
