Quality Engineer Job in Center Line 48015, Michigan US

The Advanced Product Quality Planning Engineer assures that the Company Quality Policy is supported, maintained and executed. Provides customer support externally and continually improves overall internal quality. Must be available for travel.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

1.      Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 / QS 9000 / TS 16949:2002 Quality System.

2.      Ability to interface and relate to other department personnel.

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

1.      Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

2.      Statistical Process Control training preferred.

 

            DUTIES FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.      APQP Launch

a.      Manage Launch timeline of new parts thru APQP process

b.      Work with Company personnel to insure all requirements are met and on time.

c.      Attend customer and company meetings concerning technical design, project completion and project status as requested.

2.      Manage and continually improve APQP process.

3.      Lead on handling and reporting internal quality concerns.

4.      Maintain Layered Audit Program.

5.      Assist with handling customer complaints concerns.
