Quality Engineer Job in Fort Wayne 46808, Indiana US


Due to continued business growth, our client company is seeking to add a quality engineer to their team. This individual will be the primary connection between the company and the customer regarding quality communications and will be involved with corrective action responses. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the PPAP process. This is a first shift position. The company is growing once more and offers an attractive benefits package that includes a 401 (k) plan with matching contributions up to 7%.

Job Purpose:

Provides statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.

Duties:
* Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.

* Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence.

* Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods.

* Maintains statistical process controls by applying demerit/unit, zone charting, x2 charts for distributions and individual-medial/range for multistream processes.

* Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests.

* Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.

Skills/Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree – Must Have. This is not negotiable

·         Experience working with Ford or Chrysler

·         4 + years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

·         Working knowledge of PPAP, DVPR, PFMEA etc.

·         Experience with US OEM requirements
