Seeking to fill a position located 30 minutes north of Knoxville in our Lafollette, TN facility
Job Purpose Statement:
- This is a leadership position with an emphasis on problem prevention while at the same time providing floor support for day to day quality problems
- Quality and Productivity Improvements
- Project Improvements
- Supervision of Quality Personnel
Reporting Structure:
- Report to Quality Manager
- Testers, auditors, and technicians report directly to this position
Job Functions:
- Manage assigned Quality Systems
- Assume lead voice of quality role at project concept phase
- Provide support to engineering for quality improvement projects
- Actively solve production problems with short and long term fixes
- Traveling for:
- Vendor visits
- Intercompany visits
- Visiting external customers to resolve failures
- Produce statistical reports for management decisions
- Support test/auditor/technician groups in areas of supervision, quality engineering and equipment
- Facilitate the corrective process as needed
- Handling confidential information including:
- Time cards
- Quality measurement data
- Internal company memos
- Vendor rating surveys
- Corrective/Preventive Action Reports
- PAR requests

Job Qualification Requirements:
- Four year degree in Engineering, Science, or Business
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Problem solving and root cause corrective action skills
- Exposure or certification in
- Statistics
- Six Sigma
- ASQ quality Engineer or Technician
- Metrology
Knowledge/Experience:
- Total of five years minimum in the following areas:
- Manufacturing
- Quality
- Engineering
- Quality Engineering
Machines, Tools, Equipment (Office and Industrial), Software:
- Computer software packages
- CMM Machine
- Leak testers
- Hi-Pot testers
- Temperature recorders
- Various measurement equipment
