Quality Assurance Engineer
Our QA Engineer develops and implements procedures and standards in a lean environment that ensure our finished products meet our quality systems. When manufacturing or customer concerns arise, this individual analyzes the problem and recommends corrective action and solutions for continuous improvement.
The QA Engineer’s important and rewarding role includes the following diverse responsibilities:
· Reviews customer purchase orders, specifications and engineering design documentation
· Examines and approves manufacturing purchase orders and manufacturing instructions
· Initiates quality related purchase requisitions
· Participates in the Material Review Board
· Reviews and accepts supplier quality procedures and certified material test reports to ASME/ANSI requirements
· Performs supplier evaluations and audits
· Participates in customer and third party audits
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a must for interfacing internally and externally
- Interpersonal and organization skills required
- Knowledgeable in ASME Code and ISO 9000 standards
- Qualified NQA-1 Lead Auditor desirable
- BS Engineering degree with 2 to 3 years technical experience
- Computer proficiency
- CMM and NDE experience a plus
