Job Description
The Quality Engineer is a key technical leader responsible for working with OEM's, Design Engineering, Operations and Manufacturing to provide a positive impact on the quality of new and existing products. Works with Design Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing teams and OEM’s to drive continuous design and process improvements. Develop and implement various corporate quality standards related to new products, change management and performance assessment.
i. Quality Systems Development
ii. Quality Assurance
iii. Reviews APQP including control plans and assists with control plan creation where necessary.
iv. Expected Deliverables Results
v. Develop Lean manufacturing systems
vi. Lead problem solving/issue resolution team
Required Skills
1. Automotive seat manufacturing experience an asset
2. Knowledge and experience with TS16949, ISO9001: 2000, ISO-14001.
3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
4. Ability to read, interpret and analyze blueprints.
5. Flowcharting ability and procedure analysis.
6. Advanced knowledge of statistical process control.
7. Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
8. Strong organizational skills.
9. Data analysis skills coupled with above average report writing, chart development abilities.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
11. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows based Applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.), and E-mail.
12. Knowledge of the PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, APQP processes
