Quality Engineer
Our Client a Global leader in multiple industries is actively pursuing a QUALITY ENGINEER for their expanding facility. The company is currently in the process of doubling the size of this plant. They produce products for the following industries: Medical, Consumer Products, Building products, automotive products and parts. The revenue for this company in 2009 was approaching $9B in the USA and Canada. This is a great opportunity for a high potential promotable Quality Engineer who would like to move up within a multibillion dollar company.
Responsibilities:
- Assist quality and production department in evaluating quality issues using statistical and problem solving techniques to determine root cause, implement corrective and preventive actions, improve processes and provide greater personal and/or environmental safety
- Search and interpret regulatory requirements for medical, pharmaceutical biopharm products, and quality management systems intended to comply.
- Investigate customer quality complaints/returns and provide feedback to customers.
- Participate in studies to identify process capabilities, develop product inspection and test procedures, and report quality requirements.
- Performs tasks with a positive, team-oriented approach that has a non-boundary style. Must remain respectful and open-minded in dealings with others while working in concert with all customers’ needs, both internal and external. Must maintain an entrepreneurial spirit, ability to take calculated risks, celebrating successes of others, and taking responsibility for actions and the results of these efforts.
- Exhibits and assures company conformance to safety awareness and safe work practices.
- Understand all environmental policies and significant environmental impact of job activities in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.
- Travel as required to perform the objectives and end results of this function.
- Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering preferred or technical field.
- 3-5 years experience in a Pharmaceutical/Medical manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma Belt is desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- ISO Quality Environmental Management System experience.
- ASQ Certified such as CQE or CQA.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, presentation, training, team facilitation, and interpersonal capability, combined with an ability to work cross functionally and across all levels and divisions of the organization.
- Self-directed, team player with sound negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Excellent project management experience.
- Ability to develop measures, plan and strategize work, facilitate effective meetings, identify organizational needs, and manage multiple projects.
