Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £22000.00
Fixed Term Contract 9 months - 1 year
Our client is a leading FMCG world food supplier who are seeking a Food Technologist for their site based in Hertfordshire.
The right candidate will ideally have good knowledge of food quality of recipes for a variety of products, they will also:
1. Have experience of both frozen and chilled environments
2. Demonstrable food manufacturing experience.
3. Hold a Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene
4. In depth knowledge of legal requirements
FUNDAMENTALS OF THE POSITION
• Investigate and assess and report on new raw materials
• Investigate and provide packaging solutions for new product concepts.
• Interface well with the production facility while conducting plant trials and product issues.
• To visit customers, suppliers and any other third party as required by the demands of the business.
• Interact and communicate effectively with all other relevant business departments.
• Ensure products are legal and safe by proper formulation, shelf life testing and relevant interfacing with the regulatory department.
• Maintain all development records in an orderly and comprehensive manner.
• Handle all paperwork to ensure the success of a new product including initial product specifications and make up procedures.
• Order ingredients, manage processes and maintain stock of ingredients to complete all projects in a timely manner.
• Prepare all necessary samples for sales staff and / or customers as required
This is a fixed term contract for 9 months - 1 year
