Quality Improvement Technician Job in Leeds LS15RD, Yorkshire UK
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Improvement Technician to join Unilever's site based in Seacroft, Leeds (LS14). This is a temporary position for 9 months. The rate of pay will be £24,210 - £25,995 depending on skills experience.
Reporting to the Leeds factory Packaging Quality Leader, the Quality Improvement Technician will be responsible for driving supporting the supplier quality improvement programme. This exciting challenging role will involve working with a varied portfolio of European packaging material suppliers (aluminium cans, aerosol valves, injection moulders corrugated board) as well as supporting the Leeds factory teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive the supplier quality improvement programme as follows:
*Develop and review Quality Improvement Plans with suppliers
*Review all Supplier Corrective Action Reports for quality of root cause investigation, corrective and preventative actions
*Lead supplier inbound palletisation improvement programme for the Leeds automated warehouse
*Support factory material quality improvement activities
*Organise, prepare for and attend monthly Supplier Quality Reviews
*Produce supplier monthly reports
EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
*Educated to degree (or equivalent) level preferred
*Manufacturing experience is essential
*Relevant Quality or Continuous Improvement experience
*Familiar with problem solving and continuous improvement
*Auditing experience as either internal or external auditor preferred
*Experience working with suppliers preferred
