Tooling QA – Toolmaker, Inspection Compliance


With numerous production methods, quality control standards and demanding tolerance requirements, the position of the quality inspector is critical. Focussing on the tooling side of the business it will be your responsibility to ensure that tooling supplied to manufacturing meets tough quality standards.

An experienced toolmaker you understand the mechanics of toolmaking and the challenges faced in a fast paced manufacturing environment. A technically advanced production environment will keep you on your toes, as will a variety of products, inspection methods and production challenges.

Your knowledge of toolmaking, as well as jigs fixtures, will ensure you can provide timely advice on manufacturing and compliance problems.

Day to day you will

Able to liaise with and support the production operators, you will have appropriate communication skills. You will be expected to document and report on maintenance issues.

You will not only have a background in general toolmaking but also significant knowledge of quality systems, inspection and managing compliance issues.

With at least 3 years post trade experience you will be provided with specific training, an opportunity in the aerospace industry and competitive salary with available O/T.
