Quality Inspector
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned.)
· Reads and interprets drawings and specifications
· Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
· Performs dimensional inspections of closely toleranced machined parts using
v Micrometers, calipers, thread gages and similar manual instruments,
v Surface-plate set-ups, Micro-Hites, drop indicators
v Coordinate Measuring Machines
v Non-contact instruments such as comparators and vision systems.
· Inspects materials and products for conformance to specifications and documents the inspection results by completing reports and inputting data into the quality database
· Possesses good verbal and written communication skills and able to interact across all levels of the organization.
· Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and outlook are required. Other duties as required.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalency;
Five years minimum related inspection experience.
