Quality Manager - CSS
Directs comprehensive quality, compliance and utilization management programs within Continuing Care Services. Assures that services provided within Continuing Care Services and by contracted providers are consistent with high quality, cost-effective care meeting regulatory requirements. Reports directly to the department administrator. Essential Functions: - Leads and directs the department compliance program. - Assures services are provided and administered consistent with JCAHO, State, Federal and Kaiser Permanente standards. - Provides oversight of medical records policies and procedures. - Develops and manages audit functions to assure continual regulatory compliance. - Serves as a liaison with the Kaiser Permanente National Compliance Office. - Continually maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards. - Assures continuous quality improvement is incorporated into clinical practice, day to day operations management and the department's strategic plan. - Works through clinical supervisors, RHIT, data analysts and staff to obtain data required for continuous quality improvement. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - 5 years of recent clinical experience in home health or hospice. - Bachelor's degree in nursing, physical, occupational or speech therapy. - Current RN license in State of Oregon. - Must obtain certification in quality management within 24 months of hire. - Active participation in quality, utilization management and compliance activities. - Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. - Thorough knowledge of Home Health and Hospice benefits and regulatory requirements. - Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles and practices. - Ability to utilize work processing, spreadsheet and presentation software Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience of quality/utilization management and or operations management experience in home health or hospice. - Master's degree in business, health care administration or medical informatics. - Certification in quality management. - Thorough knowledge of continuous quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance related to Home Health and Hospice services. - Ability to utilize word processing, database management, spreadsheet and presentation software. Salary Range: $103,050 - $137,350
