About the Job

 

Purpose of the QA Manager – Field Quality is to provide leadership and technical support to suppliers (supplements and food components and products) in the areas of manufacturing and quality with an emphasis on regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.  Monitor and assist suppliers (supplements and food components and products), distribution facilities and other supply chain steps in compliance adherence to Beachbody policies, Beachbody procedures and FDA regulations associated with 21 CFR Part 110 / 111.  Support activities consistent with company, team and area objectives.  Perform a wide variety of duties to ensure compliance with applicable company and regulatory requirements.

They will assist in the development and management of Product Development, RD, Scientific Affairs, QA, QC relationships with the suppliers (supplements and food components and products) and distribution facilities.  They will communicate associated requests for pilot and test runs, information requests and will be the technology transfer conduit between Beachbody and the supplier, to include specification documents, formula documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Corrective Action Responses (CAR’s).  The QA Manager – Field Quality, will work directly with 3rd party audit firms, the suppliers and internal departments (i.e. purchasing, operations, customer service) to identify issues or compliance gaps, engage in formulation and execution of resolutions.

Tasks Activities

 

·          Develop and implement action plans to insure the systems and processes provide the desired outcomes such as meeting quality specifications.

·         Create, implement and monitor Quality Management System components, SOP’s, work instructions, flow charts, forms and logs.

·         Audit suppliers (supplement and food components and products).

·         Perform documentation, document and technology transfer.

·         Quality System development and / or implementation individually or in a team setting.

·         Managing and / or observing manufacturing to include but not limited to:

o        Incoming components

o        Storage and handling

o        Blending

o        Manufacturing

o        Finishing

o        Filling

o        Holding and Distribution

 

·         Assist in design, implementation and management of Supplier Quality / Supplier Qualification program.

·         Create and perform training for supplier personnel on subjects including but not limited to:

o       21 CFR Part 110 / 111

o       Beachbody processes and procedures (SOP’s)

o       Specifications, component and product requirements

·         Gather information and write or assist with writing reports.

·         Function as a contact for suppliers for issue communication and resolution.

·         Assists in establishing and implementing policies and procedures for cGMP compliance.

·         Analyzes and executes investigations related to component and finished product issues and complaints.

·         Creation and revision of specification documents.

·         Monitor manufacturing processes for cGMP compliance.

·         Distribute and follow up on CAR’s / Corrective Actions – Preventive Actions (CAPA’s).

·         Distribute, review, approve and implement process deviations to SOP’s and specifications.

·         Collects and analyzes data, formulates conclusions and communications recommendations or required actions to support business decisions.

 

Requirements

·         Bachelors degree in a science, manufacturing, food science or management related field.

·         Two to five years experience in a supervisory or managerial role in quality or manufacturing of foods, dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals.

·         Experience with manufacturing or quality programs in multiple manufacturing facilities.

·         Working knowledge of current internet technologies.

·         Working knowledge with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, Power Point).

·         Experience at working independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
