Compensation: $ 70,000+/- (Commensurate with Experience)

OUR CLIENT: Is focused on the development and manufacture of Advanced Composite Materials for the aircraft and space vehicle industries.
Responsibilities:
- Manage quality department to meet customer requirements and strive for continuous improvement, corrective action and supplier quality management.
- Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability and safety.
- Determine and enforce quality and safety requirements in accordance with company needs, based on current regulations and state-of-the art product development.
- Organize and promote companywide quality improvement efforts.
- Evaluate and develop improved techniques for control of quality, reliability and safety.
- Directly responsible for implementation and maintenance of company quality system.
- Report on performance of quality system for review and as a basis for improvements.
- Interpretation and implementation of ISO, UL, AS9100, Nadcap and Customer specifications.
- Identify and implement internal corrective and preventive actions.
- Establish and measure continuous improvement goals and objectives.
- Manage an effective Customer Complaint resolution system.
- Maintain AS9100/ISO 9000 Certification.
- Some travel required
Education and Experience Required:
- B.S. Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace industry experience preferred
- MUST have Quality Supervisory/Management experience preferably in the aerospace industry and with composites.
- Strong working knowledge of the Quality System Regulation, ISO, AS9100, Nadcap and quality standards
- Exposure to six sigma and lean manufacturing tools desired
- Strong communication, analytical and technical writing skills are important.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Word, Excel Access.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- SPC knowledge and experience.
