The Quality Manager will be a key player in our plant and a member of the management team along with all other functional heads and counterparts in other plants. Maintain a certified and effective ISO 9001:2008 program. Manage the day-to-day execution of quality improvement efforts and reporting. Manage the day-to-day execution of process control efforts and reporting. Coordinate quality certification audits performed by customers. Assist in the development of critical to quality standards with customers. Facilitates and leads team efforts to establish and monitor customer/supplier relations. Supports strategic planning and deployment initiatives. Help develop measurement systems to determine quality improvement. Motivate and evaluate quality staff. Assists Engineering / Operations Management in the following areas: Designs, installs and evaluates quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Analyzes production and service limitations and standards. Recommends revision of specifications when indicated; formulates or helps formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. Conducts training on quality assurance concepts and tools. Interfaces with all other engineering components within the company and with customers and suppliers on quality related issues.
BS in Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum of three years' managing an ISO certified program along with a proven performance in leading an aggressive Lean manufacturing program. Formal continuous improvement experience, both at a system leadership role and as an individual performer. Managing customer quality metrics, reporting, and interface. APQP / PPAP Experience. Ability to interpret blueprints / engineering designs and perform dimensional inspections. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft based programs (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strongly Preferred Experiences and Skills, 6 sigma blackbelt certified, KanBan Quality Management, Leading an organization through a complete ISO system development and certification, Faro Arm / Romer Arm Operating Experience
