We are seeking a qualified candidate for the Quality Manager position, for a manufacturer of complex details and assemblies for the Aerospace Industry.
The Manager – Quality shall possess a working knowledge of the AS 9100 ISO 9001 standards as well as customer related QMS requirements. Individual shall be responsible for managing and maintaining all facets of the quality management system while maintaining a positive and professional relationship with all customers and co-workers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Write, rewrite, update and implement QMS manuals and procedures that comply with regulatory and customer standards.
· Conduct internal audits, customer surveys and audits and work with third party auditors and registrars.
· Conduct root cause and corrective action processes, analyze and document results and actions for all internal discrepancies and customer complaints.
· Work closely with customers to resolve quality related issues keeping an open line of communication focused on customer satisfaction.
· Prepare monthly reports on customer quality ratings and costs associated with quality.
· Manage, supervise and train Quality staff in inspection activities, including receiving, in-process, final and first article inspections using AS 9102 documentation.
· Manage, supervise and train Quality staff and other employees in blue print interpretation, shop math, and inspection techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have comprehensive knowledge in blue print interpretation, shop math, and inspection techniques.
· Minimum 10 years experience in Quality - Aerospace manufacturing environment.
· Minimum 5 years experience as a Quality Manager.
· BS degree in quality, engineering or related field.
· Must possess leadership and communication skills, both written and verbally.
· Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
