QUALITY TECHNICIAN
Background: For over 65 years, Modern Industries, Inc. in Erie, PA has been a successful employer offering full-service contract CNC machining, a variety of Heat Treating processes, and Material Research to aerospace, automotive and related industries.
Description: Immediate opening for Quality Technician in our Heat Treating Division. The successful candidate will control product quality, along with a team of inspectors, utilizing a variety of in-house testing equipment and outside laboratory services. The candidate leads the division management team and line personnel to follow documented systems and procedures in an ISO 9001/TS 16949 registered environment.
Requirements:
- Work well with others in a fast-paced production, close team environment
- Experience working with metals required; Heat treating experience strongly preferred
- Experience with inspection equipment and techniques required; Metals hardness and mechanical properties testing experience preferred
- High School and some secondary education required; 2 or 4 year technical degree strongly preferred
- Proven leadership or supervision track record
- Experience with ISO 9000, TS 16949 or other outside party quality systems
- Metallurgy experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
