Department overview
The Equities Quantitative Trading Desk engages in systematic, process-driven proprietary trading. The group builds automated strategies aimed at capturing market inefficiencies. (stat arb)
These trading opportunities might be very short-lived (a few milliseconds) or longer term; they might be pure arbitrage or more statistical in nature.
The group relies on state-of-the-art infrastructure to handle its large trading volumes. The group operates at the intersection of trading, quantitative modeling, and technology, and roles are therefore highly interdisciplinary.
The group is global with a presence in New York, London, Paris, Zurich, Singapore and Tokyo.
Main Function
- You will assist the development of the company's automated trade execution methods.
- The design of mathematical models for algorithmic processes, as well as their implementation with Java and C++ code.
- You will enhance and support critical trading applications used within the Equity Quantitative Analytics group that require deep knowledge of C++, Object Orientation design as well as Mathematics.
- You will be engaged in the production and implementation of sophisticated analyses and quantitative trading strategies that will be used within the company.
- You will responsible for upgrading the company's equity option trading capabilities and will build and utilize proprietary mathematical models, tools, and formulae to track the market history of equity products and predict future profit potentials and risk margins.
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience handling complex computational problems, applied or theoretical mathematics, computer-based research and analytical tools,
- 3 years + of experience developing applications with C++, multi-threaded, network-aware development
- Master's degree level in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
