Quant Analyst / Risk Manager , Zurich
Key Tasks responsibilities
As Quant Analyst / Risk Manager you are responsible to safeguard the company, its investors, its customers, its reputation, its assets and the interest of other stakeholders by identifying and managing all threats to the achievement of the company´s business objectives.
This involves the design, implementation and maintenance of risk management processes as well as the establishment of risk manuals and proof of relevant documentation for audit and inspection. As risk manager you identify and asses the risk which the company and its portfolios are exposed to, define adequate qualitative and quantitative measurement techniques and appropriate tolerance limits. You further monitor compliance with risk limits, evaluate status and eventual breaches, organize appropriate internal and external risk reporting and propose remediate action and escalation measures. Additionally, you will monitor developments in the EU and Swiss regulatory framework and proactively adapt risk management processes and procedures whenever necessary.
You will also assist the portfolio managers to monitor investment risk on the portfolios and organise / conduct relating portfolio review meetings. The role includes also ad hoc quant work in relation to business, macro and market data to support the portfolio managers.
Required Profile
We are addressing Risk Managers with relevant experience in risk and compliance management within a Swiss CISA-licensed fund or asset management firm or bank with an additional skill set in quantitative analysis. This includes a relevant university degree and further diploma such as FRM or CFA. With a minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience in Switzerland you have a detailed knowledge of the general tools and techniques of risk management for European equities, profound analytical skills and interest with an eye for detail as well as detailed knowledge of Swiss financial sector compliance regulations. For this challenge we are looking for an independent and self starter with team spirit and excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills who is looking for a growing entrepreneurial environment. Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, any additional languages are a plus.
